Past Due Accounts

If your account has a high balance past due or delinquent, you may be subject to disconnection of service.

If you are struggling to pay your bill, we encourage you to contact our customer service team. A representative may be able to help you with:

A payment plan: EPWater allows customers to work out a payment plan for past-due account balances.

Possible payment assistance options: EPWater and community care partners offer assistance for qualifying residential customers:

  • Amistad may be able to help low income seniors with emergency assistance. AmistadCARES Utility Assistance Program - Call (915) 298-7307 to see if you qualify.
  • Amistad also assists Veterans of the armed forces with a once per year program of up to $100. Amistad For Veterans Project (AFVP) - Call (915) 298-7307 to see if you qualify.
  • AguaCares for El Paso Water customers who are low income seniors (65+) at risk of being disconnected from water service - Call (915) 298-7307 to see if you qualify.
If you have a high past due balance, EPWater Customer Service may call you to discuss options to help you catch up on payments. The call will come from (915) 594-5500. We will not ask for your personal information, and we will verify your account number first.
