Drought Plan

What is Drought Planning?

drought report coverEl Paso Water is always planning for our water future.  To ensure a sustainable water supply,  we have diversified our water sources and worked with customers to reduce water use.  A key component to this planning is our Drought Contingency Plan (DCP).  In times of drought or water emergency, all customers will need to reduce water use to help us meet demands.  The DCP describes how we will monitor water supply, respond to a shortage and how we will work with customers.  The current DCP appears as Public Service Board Rule 17 and is due for renewal and resubmission to the TCEQ by May 1, 2024.
