Collaboration on two projects will help reduce flood risk in El Paso
EL PASO – EPWater will hold a media event on Tuesday, June 16, to highlight the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers’ investment and collaboration on two environmental infrastructure projects: the Clardy Fox Pump Station Improvement Project and the El Paso Flood Warning System.

Signing ceremony for an agreement between EPWater and the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers to proceed with the first stage of the El Paso Flood Warning System.

Background: The Clardy Fox Project will improve stormwater capacity by collecting runoff from various streets located upstream of the Clardy Fox Pump Station. These improvements will enable additional flow and increased capacity to avoid overloading the discharge channel.
The El Paso Flood Warning System Project will kick off the first phase of a project that will eventually provide a flood forecasting and warning system in the City of El Paso and parts of El Paso County
