Building a Reliable Water Future for El Paso

El Paso Water is investing in infrastructure to serve our growing community today and for generations to come.

Water Supply

We’re securing new and sustainable sources to keep El Paso’s water future strong.

  • Pure Water Center – A first-of-its-kind facility that will create a new, drought-proof supply through advanced purification. Construction is underway and expected to finish in late 2028.
  • Desalination Plant Expansion – The Kay Bailey Hutchison Desalination Plant will expand in 2026, boosting capacity from 27.5 million gallons per day (MGD) to 33.5 MGD to treat more brackish water for our region.
