EL PASO – As part of a continued investment in water system reliability, El Paso Water has scheduled a temporary water shut-off in Northeast El Paso on Thursday, February 19, from 10 a.m. until about 4 p.m. The outage will impact an estimated 300 homes and businesses near McCombs Street and Will Ruth Ave, including the Mountain Vista Apartments at 5757 Will Ruth Avenue.
This planned shutoff is necessary for crews to replace seven aging valves along McCombs St. and neighboring streets. Wastewater services will not be affected.
Residents and businesses in the affected area are encouraged to store water in advance of the outage. Three water tankers will be available beginning at 9 a.m. until service is restored at the following locations:
- 5800 block of Pompano Ave.
- Intersection of Robin Hood and Will Ruth.
- In front of the Mountain Vista Apartments along Will Ruth.
If customers have questions they can contact Rudy Duran, Water Distribution Superintendent, at (915) 263-4000.
